An evil man who kicked and violently beat his pregnant girlfriend in an effort to induce a miscarriage bowed his head and refused to watch distressing video of the attack in court.

Raymond Bautista, 36, is facing a host of charges, including aggravated assault of an unborn child, for the vicious attack in Hatfield, Pennsylvania on April 24.

According to the criminal complaint, he knew his girlfriend was pregnant and wanted her to terminate the child, but she refused.

Horrifying footage of the sustained attack shows Bautista, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, repeatedly kicking and pummeling the woman, who has not been publicly named, as she screams.

He had attacked her from behind in the dead of night at a parking lot near her apartment complex, throwing her onto the ground as he delivered the savage beating.

In court on Wednesday, he dropped his head low and closed his eyes as the victims chilling screams echoed through the room.

Bautista was arrested just hours after the assault and initially tried to tell police he was asleep at the time.

Police argued his car was seen near the scene of the crime and a ski mask was found in the car when searched.

Bautista was initially released from jail on an unsecured $75,000 bond, but prosecutors returned to court on Wednesday to argue that he posed a threat to the victim.

He allegedly told the judge this was just a bad moment as he insisted he was cooperating with authorities.

Approached by NBC outside the courtroom, Bautista was asked: Raymond, are you sorry?

The viciousness of this attack against a completely unsuspecting person warranted such a request… Believe me when I tell you that we are just as shocked as you are, Hatfield police said in a statement.
