A child has died after being rushed to hospital in front of tearful onlookers.
Police descended on a house close to a primary school in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday afternoon after call was put in to the emergency services.
Photos taken at Woodland Street in Biddulph show an ambulance parked outside, while a PCSO was also seen stationed next to the property.
Three uniformed officers and two marked cars with flashing lights were positioned in the entrance to a school, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Academy, locals said.
An air ambulance landed on playing fields off Church Road but police later confirmed an unidentified youth had died after being taken to hospital by land ambulance.
An eye witness told StokeonTrentLive: Theres lots of people here and some of them are tearful.
Theres no cordon or police tape anywhere but there is a PCSO stationed outside a home. Theres also two car with their lights flashing on the grounds of the school.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: We were called at 2.50pm on Sunday to a property in Biddulph.
A child was taken to hospital by air ambulance. Sadly, the child was pronounced dead by doctors a short time later.
The childs next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time.
Police have confirmed no arrests have been made.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: We were called to a medical emergency at a private address on Woodland Street at 2.46pm on Sunday, three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
On arrival we discovered one patient, a child, who following emergency treatment at the scene, was transported to hospital by land ambulance.
The air crew travelled in the back of the ambulance to help continue with treatment. However, shortly after arrival at hospital it sadly became apparent nothing could be done to save the child and they were confirmed deceased.
