An Army Black Hawk helicopter caused two big near-misses with airliners at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport last week.
This includes passing as little as 200 feet from a single jet, after the pilot took the scenic route to the Pentagon, as per authorities.

The terrifying ordeal at one of America’s most crowded airports comes three months after the same kind of Army chopper from the same unit was involved in a horrifying mid-collision incident with an American Airlines jet. This killed 67 people.
Officials and politicians were quick to blast the Army for that incident and referred to the matter as unacceptable.

On Thursday, the commercial planes were rerouted just moments before they were due to land at Reagan due to the close proximity of the helicopter, the FAA shared in a document.
Both flights were on the actual approach, less than two miles from the runway, at about 2:30 pm, authorities shared. The alarming part is how the helicopter got between 200 and 21oo feet from the Republic Flight, and between 400 to 2600 feet from the Delta plane.
